TacticFront.io β Changelog V2.4 - Networking Improvements
π§ͺ Research Labs:
Research labs are now destroyed if the enemy captures them! Plan your defenses accordingly.
π Networking Improvements:
Reduced the number of networking events by reworking core game logic. Expect a smoother multiplayer experience.
π₯ Population & Bot Updates:
Pop growth has been slowed slightly for better game pacing.
Bots have been buffed and now start with the same population as players for fairer matches.
π― Missile Evasion & SAM Interception:
Missiles now have an evasion stat! Each type has its own evasion value:
Atom Bomb: 35
Cruise Missile: 20
Hydrogen Bomb: 25
SAM Interception:
Interception chance is now calculated as:
60 + targeting bonus - missile evasion (clamped to 0-100%)
SAMs start with 2 interceptors by default.
Missile tech tree upgrades can modify evasion and targeting bonuses.
This adds more depth to missile vs. defense strategy—interception is no longer guaranteed!
π‘οΈ Future Plans:
Hypersonic missiles are coming as a SAM counter.
SAM upgrade path will let SAMs attempt to intercept hypersonics (at lower chance).
Potential changes: Move ICBM to its own silo, rename current silo to "Rocket Site" for clarity.
π Balance Focus:
Weβre pushing for more "threat β counter" gameplay, mirroring real strategic warfare. Expect dynamic shifts and evolving metas!
